Gyrotrak’s design and modular construction combines a highly flexible system architecture for the airframe which allows it to easily adapt to different tasks and missions.
One of the most striking safety features of Gyrotrak is its ability to autorotate. Since the main rotor is in autorotation mode during forward flight, Gyrotrak is able to land slowly and safely, even in the event of a motor failure.
The Embention Veronte autopilot is up to 4x redundant, is DO-178/ED-12 and DO-254 certified, and fully compliant with STANAG 4671, IEEE STD 830-1998 & STANAG 4703.DDP
The GT20 is supported with an evidence documentation package available for UAV / RPAS / Drone certification, valid also for the System Safety Assessment (SSA).
The GT20 delivers long flight times and range, with very low GHG emissions, making it the perfect machine for missions covering very large areas, border control, long chases, fighting extensive fires, or the surveillance of larger work sites, crowds or events. IP65 rated and impartial to wind, GT20 is there to support and deliver its mission, whatever the weather.
With an empty weight of only 7.5kg and an incredible maximum take-off weight of 20kg, GT20 is an impressive and serious cargo and inspection platform – with flight times of up to 2.5 hours with a 600g mission load. GT20 can be equipped with all types of HD EO/IR sensors and integrated to your needs.
Despite wind and rain, the GT20 with internally installed HOD4track system from Droniq celebrates its premiere in Germany. The HOD4track provides an extended detection of surrounding air traffic with FLARM and ADS-B sensors. In combination with the Droniq UTM, the operator receives a complete picture of the air traffic situation. Due to its design, the GT20 is exceptionally safe and energy efficient. It is day and night operational ready even in strong winds and rainy weather (protection class IP65). The gyrocopter hybrid UAV carries up to 6 kg of mission load and has a flight time of up to two and a half hours. The team made up of GT20 and HOD4track could now perform BVLOS flights over urban areas.
This short video documents a significant milestone in the development of the GT20 Gyrotrak UAV. We successfully finalized the setup of the latest Veronte autopilot and were able to proof the flexibility of the system with flights in Heli mode up to 100km/h and gyrocopter operation between 37km/h and 150km/h. We tested the system across the whole envelope starting with autonomous take off, hover, acceleration through the transition into gyrocopter mode and high-speed flight up to 150km/h, deceleration and autonomous landing.
